From bytes to bales

Agronod, a Swedish AgTech startup, is dedicated to strengthening profitability, sustainability and innovation in Swedish farming through the sharing of data. Their national platform empowers farmers with data control while fostering innovative solutions for a stronger agricultural future. Building upon their collaboration with the startup for their climate calculation app Agrosfär, global design firm EY Doberman returned to help Agronod with the development of their visual language.

A playful tug-of-war

Incard, the self-proclaimed “#1 financial OS built by and for digital entrepreneurs,” has revealed a confident and contrasting brand refresh, created by Parisian design agency Brand Appart. The fintech company, which centralises business data and improves operational visibility for e-commerce founders, sought to redefine its visual identity to better align with its ambitious vision.

Bending the rules

When Perth-based design agency Block kicked off their project to rebrand the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA), they began with an unconventional workshop. They invited PICA’s team to their office and turned their boardroom into “a provocative space filled with statements about PICA’s purpose,” Co-founder & Creative Strategy Director Mark Braddock tells us. “With no instructions and just markers, the team was locked in the space for 45 minutes, reflecting and responding to what was on the walls. This exercise helped us unearth the core of PICA’s identity, forming the foundation of the brand story.”

It’s raining stars

Two stars of the international football calendar – 2024 Copa América and UEFA Euro – received an extra dose of sparkle when FOX Sports (having acquired the English-language rights to UEFA national team matches) commissioned design studio THRU to create a captivating identity for their coverage of the men’s football championships.

The Future Of Brand Guidelines

In our fourth segment of The Future Of, together with Brandpad we’re decoding the future of brand guidelines. An indispensable part of building brands and bringing them to life, brand guidelines have gone through tectonic shifts in the past few years. While we review where we are now, we also cast our eyes to the future. How will brand guidelines change? What parts of the old systems will we keep and what tweaks and overhauls will designers and technology bring in? And how will this impact the relationship between studios and clients? We went looking for the answers.

SPIRAL Issue Two: Future

SPIRAL bridges the gap between American football and culture. Printed annually, each issue explores a theme that connects art, design, music and fashion with the game itself. For its second issue, ‘future’ was dissected as the overarching theme; covering everything from the rise of the NFL, how data is redefining the way we consume the game, Fox Sports’ Cleatus, Tom Brady’s undying quest for immortality, the international voices growing the sport abroad, and the women who are spearheading the law and order of the gridiron. Issue Two also features interviews with Super Bowl champion Chris Godwin, the multidisciplinary studio PLAYLAB, southern rapper YGTUT and contemporary fashion label Our Legacy.
